15-minute hot sauce & healthier ranch dip recipe

Hot sauce ingredients

  • 20 peppers of your choice (cayenne, jalapeño)
  • 1 ½ cups vinegar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 3 tsp minced fresh garlic
  • Medium sauce pan

Instructions

Step 1:
Wash the peppers; cut the tops off and slice in half lengthwise.

Step 2:
Combine vinegar peppers, salt and garlic into a sauce pan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until peppers are soft (about 10 minutes).

Step 3:
Pour everything into your blender and blend until liquefied. Want more spice? Add additional habanero peppers to taste.

Pro tip: Wear gloves to protect your skin from hot pepper oils. They can rub off onto your hands and cause irritations.

Ranch ingredients

  • 1 cup plain, non-fat Greek yogurt
  • ¾ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp dried dill
  • ¼ tsp kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ⅛ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ½ tsp lemon (to taste)
  • Fresh, chopped chives garnish
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

Combine Greek yogurt, garlic, onion, dill, salt, Worcestershire, lemon and cayenne in a food processor. Garnish with fresh chives, salt and serve.
